Hi everybody. I need to change the top of this button. Have anybody part-number or any ideas how to restore it? Has a lot of scratcher from the previous owner.

 

would like to know as well. I believe I have seem covers or caps that go over them on ebay/amazon but I'd rather replace the whole ****

 

It's a plastic that is made to look like brushed metal, so it will be difficult to improve the current finish. You could start with just a wax product. If you try to polish it, it will just become more dull since it is plastic. You'd probably need to repaint it with a silver paint and then add a clear coat for depth and shine.

 

I would check dealer on part #. They cant hang up with you until they have a satisfactory answer lol.

Thst part I THINK comes out the top, however it was really hard to pop off, not something you can just pull off. Then again, the mechanics underneath may need to be detached first so take apart the console trim piece when you get there.
Skipping ahead but didnt want anyone jumping to yank that thing when they go to replace.

Can put a vinyl wrap over it or like said they sell precut ones or whole covers.
