Default Abs light after wheel hub swap

Hello everyone,

I owned a 2016 IS350 Fsport AWD and just replaced the driver side rear hub assy(OEM parts). Right after replacing it the abs, handbrake, and traction control light came on. Can anybody help me out with this?

the car feels great, just concerned about the lights. Please see attach picture.

Have you pulled what codes you might have?
Did you remember if the bearing you replaced with had a magnetic strip around the inside part of the bearing?

No, I haven’t pulled the code (don’t have access to a scanner). It did had an internal strip, but I didn’t check to see if it was a magnetic one.

Sorry about the "magnetic" word i used.
If you did notice a brown strip on the bearing, then thats a good sign.
No need for a scanner to check code, just a jumper wire and jump TC and CG on the DLC3 connector.
Count the blinks of the ABS warning light.

I couldn’t wait. Just jumped the CG and TC and the ABS was flashing 4 times and then 3 times. Does that tells you anything?

If its 4 blinks then slight pause, then 3 more after that,
Then it cycles again right?
Thats a 43 code
Thats equates to a C1243 Acceleration Sensor Stuck Malfunction (Yaw rate sensor)

Just for kicks, try erasing the code and see if it comes back
-- leave CG and TC jumped.
-- key off
-- Turn key on and pump the brake pedal 8 times with in 5 sec.

Key Off -- pull jumper wire out -- start vehicle -- check for warning lights

just did and it came back as soon as I start driving it. The tracc light was flashing around 8 time and 3 times cycles. After I pass 5mph all the other lights come on and “brake malfunction” message. I recorded a video but can’t upload it for some reason.

is there anything else I should check for? Or should I just take it to a the dealer?

At this point, i dont think you have a choice.
Could be as simple as zero pointing or calibration of a sensor.
Dealer should be able to perform this if thats the issue.

just came back from the dealer. They said speed sensor got busted when I was changing the Hub. They order a new sensor for me and I’ll replace it tomorrow.
they recommend to remove the sensor next time before taking anything apart.

Once I replace the sensor do you know how to clear the code ?

thank you so much for your help

Same procedure as before.
Jump TC and CG
Key On
Pump brake pedal 8x in 5 sec.

^^^^Well, I have two. The one I keep in my truck is an older Actron unit. Works well. In the car I use a wireless OBD device, this one:

Amazon Amazon

I use it in conjunction with my phone. I like it because you can download Lexus specific PIDS. I keep my phone on a stand and display gauges while I drive.
