Default 19’ aftermarket wheels

Hello ,
I feel I must mention the fact That I am fairly new to modding my cars. I have owned my Lexus for about a year and a half. I own a 2015 is250 rwd. I recently came across a good deal on some 3 piece wheels with tires. I rolled the dice and bought them. I put them on the car but I’m experiencing some fender rubbing on Both front and rear. They are on some 245/40zr19. I’m guessing upgrading my suspension would be the solution? If it’s a big project I’d prefer to return to stock wheels and tires. If anyone can let me know how much work I have ahead of me and maybe a ballpark on price? Just so I can assess if it’s worth it on my end, it would be so much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry your first post had to be about an issue you're having.
Just looking at the pic, those are some nice wheels, but the offsets of the wheel look way too low.

Do you know the specs for the wheels? They are 19 inch, but what's the width and offset? And are they staggered? (meaning the rear are wider than the front)
Realistically speaking, there's nothing that you can reasonably do to fix this, aside from getting wheels with the proper offset.

Well, if you're willing to take the risk of doing a serious pull on the front and rear fenders...

But like @Sasnuke said, those offsets look way too low. Since they're 3pc, you might be able to get a new face machined in a better offset and swap it out.

I was looking at that too, but then I was looking at the tire size, the amount of stretch, and how far the barrel of the rim was sticking out, and was thinking that even with a center change the barrel is probably too wide anyways.
My guess is that those rims are 19x9.5 at least, if not 19x10...which neither will fit the front without fender work as you mentioned. With a center change the rear might be salvageable though.

You're probably right. Since it's a 250, you can probably get away with a pretty convex face on those wheels. Doing that in conjunction with a solid fender pull MIGHT salvage that setup.

In the end, I'd say sell those off and get a better fitment.

Thank you for your help and advice. I too am sorry my first post was about an issue, and thank you for welcoming me to the forum. After reading the advice giving by members here I think the best solution is the first. I believe ill just call it, and buy some wheels with the proper offset. Although i do like the look of these, but in my opinion its not worth losing ride comfort and the rubbing is literally rubbing me the wrong way.
i will do my research this time around and make sure to buy some with a better fit. Thank you all for the quick replies. Good to know this online community exists.

Pulling the fenders is literally that...pulling them until the wheels clear or they can't go anymore.
There's a couple ways to do it, but the end result is the same.
Depending how far you go, and in your case it would be hella far, the paint will likely crack, so then it will need to be repaired and painted.

Take a mount and check out this thread...it will give you an idea on styles and specs: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...exclusive.html
Ultimately want you like in a rim is a personal preference, but at least an idea on specs will lead you to what you can and can't fit.
You can always ask for opinions on fitment, several of us can guide you to a proper fitting set of wheels.

Your offset is ****ed.

Some options.

1.Pull fenders, not recommeded

2. Give it more negative camber, it will cost you money for the camber kit, install, and alightment. You will also eat up your tires quickly

3. Sell it and get something that is not "hella flush"

Sell them and get a set of rims that fit. you should get decent money for those.

What's with the oversized wheels? Should you be buying tires that will match the width? Is there any gain on this aside from taking more space?
