Exhaust kits
Just recently bought a is250... first mod I want to do is the exhaust... what suggestions do you guys have?
I’m looking for a aggressive sound (not to aggressive)
a deep “purr” kind of like a “growl” similar to a hemi or an G35

Just adding an axelback wont affect enything ECU or CEL wise. Even a midpipe wont affect anything, provided it's installed correctly. That Remark is essentially a muffler delete. The apexi is a midpipe and an axelback. You shouldnt run into any issues if everything is installed correctly.
Hey,
We can do an Invidia axle back which is very popular.
Also depending on your budget we have a lot of alternatives..

A lot of the pipes made will say fitment for RWD only. In reality, the only difference between the RWD and AWD is the pipe on the driver's side near the exhaust manifold...as that is where the Transfer case is located for the AWD.
An exhaust shop will simply add a slight bend into the RWD only pipe on the driver's side and viola, it now fits the AWD.
It's not difficult and any reputable exhaust shop should be able to do it.
Sure, it would be nice if the pipe was made for AWD, but it's easier to add a bend than take out a bend...plus given the market where these pipes are developed, RWD is likely the common version of the vehicle.

I have a 15 is250 awd and have the full invidia. Sounds great IMO. I started with the axle back but after a year or so I barely noticed it anymore. The mid pipe solved that! It is available for the awd as well.
I looked up the invidia midpipe but I only see it available for rwd, I have a AWD as well... and with the midpipe isn’t there a cat delete? Won’t that cause a cel?
Yes we have the AWD Invidia midpipe as well. It is a cat delete but does not cause a CEL..

It was hard for me to find as well but it is available. I purchased mine on eBay and I saw it on RR Racing’s website not too long ago. Just make sure it’s for AWD before ordering. The idea of cutting up an expensive one to make fit for an awd sounded terrible to me lol. It eliminates the “secondary” cats but these are not monitored by the o2 sensors so the vehicle doesn’t recognize when they are missing. The primary cats that “count” are what this pipe mounts to. No worries and no CEL.

This is done so it clears the transfer case...basically that big hump on the right side of the driver's footwell when you're sitting in the car.
