3rd to 1st Downshifting
My recently bought 2016 F Sport had a pretty hard downshift from 4-3 when I bought it. I took it to my local Lexus dealer and had them do a drain/fill on the transmission fluid. It is shifting significantly smoother after that.
I'm probably going to have them do it one more time next month to get a higher ratio of new fluid in the car.

I did 2 drain and fills and dif fluid on mine and wasn't the slightest change.
Of course I wasn't aiming for change more maintenance but still I thought I may loose the 3rd gear funny business but did not.
My IS 200t has done the same thing since ive had it for over 2 years now. I bet you notice it worse when its colder out too or in the mornings. Interesting enough my driving style has adapted to the jerk and i just ease into the breaks differently ahaha.
What is the engine doing during this? My LS430 had that problem and it was a sticky throttle (throttle not closing due to being somewhat gummed up). Toyota dealer sprayed the intake with cleaner and problem was solved.
