I'm probably going to have them do it one more time next month to get a higher ratio of new fluid in the car.
Was this only when in manual mode? How much did you pay for the drain and fill?

Ah well that's nice.

I did 2 drain and fills and dif fluid on mine and wasn't the slightest change.
Of course I wasn't aiming for change more maintenance but still I thought I may loose the 3rd gear funny business but did not.

My hard shifting was in automatic mode, not manual...that's what improved. I get little/no hard shifting in manual mode, regardless of gear(s).

That's a bummer. The previous owner had just had front/rear differentials changed just before I bought the car, which is why I didn't have them done as well.

My IS 200t has done the same thing since ive had it for over 2 years now. I bet you notice it worse when its colder out too or in the mornings. Interesting enough my driving style has adapted to the jerk and i just ease into the breaks differently ahaha.

What is the engine doing during this? My LS430 had that problem and it was a sticky throttle (throttle not closing due to being somewhat gummed up). Toyota dealer sprayed the intake with cleaner and problem was solved.
