Anyone else notice the pinch welds on our cars are terribly weak? Mine are bent to hell. Spoke the dealer and they said they jack it up using the pinch welds.
How are you guys lifting up your cars using low profile jacks?
How are you guys lifting up your cars using low profile jacks?
I'm using the front jack point (under the engine) using HF low profile jack, then use jack stands on pinch welds. So far .. so good. no bents yet.

Pinch welds w/ a hockey pick adapter. You need something that distributes loads and a jack that rolls freely. if you don't, you'll bind the pinch weld. I wish Lexus did the jack points BMW style. BMW has flat lifting points. I feel like the pinch welds are typical economy car style and not very sophisticated or classy. i always hated it. but you gotta work with what you've got. try hammering them back, but whatever you do, do not heat them.
