First, make sure are you on iOS 13.1.2? That has a fix for bluetooth. Go to your iphone settings and forget your lexus. Then re-pair them.

I’ve had Bluetooth issues since iOS 13 with all my devices. That could be a cause.

I had this happen on iOS 12, but found a fix. I believe that in the audio connection settings for the phone there are two options: 1) through phone, or 2) through bluetooth. I initially set mine to bluetooth and it would disconnect all the time. As a test I set it to through phone instead and that was much better. It no longer drops the bluetooth connection.

I had the same problem this weekend. Updated to iOS 13.1.2 and had bluetooth dropouts.

I remember back in earlier threads that using the USB with the iPhone could create crashes?
I was going to use the USB as a backup plan, until I can run the corrections suggested here.
But it seems that there are more features if you use the USB, like voice command song selection?

I am seeing a bluetooth device on my phone named CarAccessorySystem. Is that what should be deleted?
I assume not to delete the iPhone from the menu in the car?

Yes. It will re-pair as Lexus IS.

I had an issue in mine a few months ago. It was playing a song and kept cutting in and out, it frustrated me for a whole day. What fixed it was deleting the phone off the car settings. Then rebooting my phone completely, deleting it off saved devices in the iPhone settings, and repairing it.
