I have my 14' is that has been sitting for 3 years in the garage now. Need some good mechanical knowledge on steps to get her back up.
I do have the basics though,
-pump out old gas, and replace with new
-drain motor oil, and replace with new oil and filter
-new battery
I'm sure there are other steps to check and make sure that the motor and car internals are running good, but what and how should I check ?
Anything else I should replace? Thanks in advance
It should be fine to start it back up. But if you want to, you can pull the fuel pump fuse so the engine can pump some oil everywhere before it starts to run.

That was going to be my suggestion as well.
And because of the old gas, when you're ready to fire it up finally, don't be surprised if it runs like crap, stalls, etc.
Bump, would like some opinions on proper instructions on reviving a car that sat for 3 years
Done a little research, but it's not definite. looking for specific details on a Lexus.
I think it's been covered. A Lexus is just like any other car. If you want something else to check on, watch your coolant temp. Fluids are designed to be used not to sit, but its probably fine, I wouldnt worry about it.
Just do what Sasnuke and E46CT said, drain fuel and replace, drain oil and replace and replace filter, then pull the fuel pump fuse and let the motor get oil cycled through everything, and change battery. This should be plenty.
