Angry Where do you put your garage door opener?

Maybe I'm the only one who has this issue....but....this car is lacking in any space to put your garage door opener. Mine is linked to my home alarm system, so I have to use a fob for it. But, there is no place to put the darn thing other than the cup holder or glove box. Why does this car NOT have any place to put things??? Thanks!

Not sure how big your fob is...mine comes with a clip that goes onto the visor for cars without homelink, and I just program it to the homelink on the mirror.

Does homelink not work with your alarm system? Have had one connected to mine in the past.

My garage door opener has a clip so I just stick it on the sun visor. If I wasn't so lazy, maybe I would have programmed the car to use Homelink with my garage, lol.

do you not have a clip on your fob??? Like 99.9% of people just clip it to their sun visor if they aren't able to program it to their car (and you should be able to program it to the car even with your home alarm system).

I drove like that the first month then got tired of it flying around when I reach for my sun visor lol. After some searching on google, programming it took less than a minute

Mine comes separately so I don’t have that problem

I have tried to connect my homelink with my alarm system. No luck. It's been a while though so maybe i need to google it again and try again.

Are you saying your alarm system is linked to your garage door opener?

Maybe something like this? http://skipstechtalk.net/2011/03/14/...curity-system/

can't you use the car home link for your garage and just use the fob for your home alarm. so you don't need to touch anything but your car to enter your garage? or is the garage linked to the alarm? that's odd.

i don't like touching anything but my car when entering my garage. and even that's a little dinosaur-y. i'd like for garages of the future to sense when you exit/enter based on your phone or some other sensor. i hate touching things.

i also hate keys. so 1980s. hate credit cards too. i wish everything was contactless via phone. progress feels so slow sometimes.

100 years from now there won't be anything physical left. everything touchless
