Default Garage/mechanic recommendations for mods

Hey everyone,
So even considering that the 3IS doesn't have a lot of aftermarket support, I'm determined to make some modifications over a period of time. The only things I tried so far is an F sport air filter and a muffler delete, pretty simple DIY stuff. For more complicated stuff like sway bars, coilovers, bushings, brakes etc. I've conceded that I'll probably need to get some stuff done by a shop, seeing as I don't even have a garage. The trouble is, I haven't found a single reputable shop willing to install ANYTHING aftermarket on my car, saying that they "don't have time to deal with stuff like that." I can understand that they can't provide warranty on those parts, but they outright refuse to work on the vehicle for anything other than repairs.
I've read about a lot of members getting mods installed by a mechanic or shop, even dyno tuning done. Would really like some advice on where to find these mechanics/shops or even a mobile mechanic service who'd be willing to work with customer supplied parts. I'm in the metro Detroit area, so any specific recommendations would be great too. Even better if you're in the area and like to mod your Lexus.

I've called for quotes to better motivate me to do it myself on mods ha.

But, I haven't had much issue with that over the years. And yes, work often won't be warrantied but they should still stand by their work say if something is installed incorrectly.
It is not too common someone calls for service and supply's their own parts but most shops are usually ok with it here in Southern California

You may want to try smaller shops? And they'll just charge you for labor. I used to even do it with Lexus dealers supplying my own oil.

For suspension or sway bars a suspension shop should be ok with that.

There are a couple places around me that only do aftermarket mods and they seem to be the ones acting like they didn't have the time ha. Cause they seem to be preoccupied by big jobs.
