The factory sound system suxs!!! smdh

I see that now. nice! thanks KY! I bought my Lexus in Kentucky!
The sound in the front is emphasized, That could have to do with the quantity of speakers, or settings in the factory amp. I prefer it that way. The sound should sound like it is coming from the center front of the car, or better yet, from the hood. At least that is generally a part of judging at car audio sound quality competitions.
When I am tuning a system, I cup my hands behind my ears to block out the rear speakers, then flip them around to block out the front. I then adjust for the front to be slightly louder.
The factory speakers are just a single cone speaker driver. very cheap and sounded very bland. I replaced my rears with the Focal coaxial that has a tweeter and definitely is playing full range. so much more detail having a speaker or speakers that include a tweeter.

It's so bad I took it back to the dealer less than a week after I bought the car. They listened to it and agreed, so they kept the car to investigate. Called me a day later to pick it up, only to tell me that they talked to engineering and found out that the audio system is designed to sound that way. I took it to two audio shops to get the audio system upgraded, only to be told that it's all a big computer and can't be modified. It really bothers me. Anyone have any luck modifying the sound system?

My 2014 Non-ML sounded pretty and was just lacking the bass response I like. Whatever you choose just match it to the factory amp's output which I believe is somewhere are 50 watts. I'll have to check when I get home. I believe there's a sticker on it. I'm thinking about 25 watts for all speakers except the sub. I am in the process of a full upgrade. I'll post details when I'm done. The system I chose is below:
(4) Deaf Bonce DB-M60NEO 6.5" for doors driven by Deaf Bonce Machete M154 150watts x 4
(3) Deaf Bonce M60Neo 2.5" Tweeters for dash driven by Deaf Bone Machete M54 50 x 4
(1) Deaf Bonce Apocalypse DB-SA2712D1 1 ohm DVC 1700 watt RMS driven by Deaf Bonce Machete M2000D pushing 1500 watts RMS to 2 ohms
A custom stained birch sub box tuned to 34 hz
And to power it all:
Mechman 240 amp alternator
XS Power V3400 battery under hood
I had everything in except the alternator until someone rear ended me and they didn't have insurance So I'm starting over and started with the alternator install this past weekend. Trying to finish the trunk this coming weekend.

Hey guys. I'm deciding between a 2016 pre-facelift IS350 F-Sport and a 2017 facelift IS350 F-Sport. Has there been any upgrades or improvements for the non-ML sound system for the facelift?
Thanks
Thanks

I’m installing some kicker speakers on the rear doors and some in the front dash. This is after speaking with the people at Crutchfield. I think I’ll be alright with that. Don’t need too much ump. Just a little bit more that the non ML system. I’ll report back.

Man, I think I would put those 6.5's in the front. Its all about the front stage.
If you upgrade the rear, I would do that last.
That's just my $.02. For me, its all about the driver and passenger sound. I'm not worried about my rear passengers. If I was, I would have bought a GS :-)
