Default Mandatory update fails to download every time

I've been seeing the above every time I start the car for a little more than a week now. It seems like this download will never work - after a couple of minutes a pop-up will appear saying "Download unsuccessful." I've never had this issue with any prior updates.

Before I have to call up the dealer or reset my ECU, I am curious if anyone's run across this before.

Along with the antiquated infotainment center software itself, maybe the download was operating on a 56k speed. LOL

Best practice to update the Lexus App Suite is to turn the WiFi of your phone Off and let
the download come through the 3/4G connection. When you have the WiFi on it will fail
the download nearly every time.

You have all by now noticed that the LAS appears quite different when you are out of the
car than when you are paired and connected, right? Try looking destinations up in the
App when away from the car and then open up Menu/LAS/saved destinations. Up to 10
destinations can be transferred.

I don't understand your WiFi issue. I tried the download every time I got in the car, even when I was at the store, etc. This morning it worked fine when I pulled out of the garage, when my phone would have presumably still been connected to my home wifi. Also I have no idea why the phone's internet would have any bearing on the car's connection.

Care to elaborate? Maybe I clicked the button too slowly.

edit: Sarcasm/joking doesn't play very well on the internet, so if you really thought I was downloading it wrong (which, I assume you were joking...), it would have been nice to actually reply to my thread in the first place.

Same here!
It never been completed at all, always and only I can see "Download unsuccessful"

No matter what neither Wifi nor 4G Mobile network.
It keep asks to update, but if I hit 'download', it pops up the message as 'Download unsuccessful' repeatedly.
I have no idea

For me, it worked after about 2 weeks of failure. Seems to be luck of the draw.

Maybe it has to do with the signal strength of cell towers in the area? You could always try again in an area where you have better reception.

You have the Lexus Enfom App up and running on the phone that is paired and connected, right?
The update is coming from your phone to the car, app has to be running to work with the cars app.
