There's no way CarPlay is coming to the IS until the infotainment system is updated to the level of the current ES and LS. I can only see that happening when they refresh the IS for 2020 or 2021

It sucks. Lexus is offering a $199 update to add CarPlay on certain models. The IS isn’t there of course.

I feel like you would have gotten the same response if you said you wanted the is to be able to fly and float on water.

And they wonder why they are not pushing units. Good luck selling cars with outdated infotainment in 2019.

How is the sound system on it? Hope they upgraded it from the crap in 2015 without ML.

I don't have any complaints about my non-ML sound. Sure it gets distorted if I turn it way up, but I don't like listening to music loudly while driving anyway. I did sample the ML and thought it was nice but not worth the upcharge.

Give us that email address so we can all email them. I’m driving a 2019 NX right now and the apple car play is nice! The google maps is light years better then even the built in navigation. I want a retro update, especially with android since I have both iPhone and Samsung.

I have many.. the sound was a let down and i came from a 2013 Altima.

My 2010 IS250 stock stereo system was way way better than my 2017 model....
