99% sure they don’t. There’s threads on here about people doing a “sound generator delete” I don’t know what the reason is though for removing the generator but keeping stock intake

Yeah if you replace the intake, by definition, you've deleted the ISG. It's attached to the intake itself.

Also, it was my understanding that all "350" models regardless of F-Sport or base had the sound generator. Is that incorrect?

@Neat What IS model do you have?

OK. In that case, ignore anything pertaining to the four-cylinder above, I guess.

Yeah I am quite certain it's normal. The only things I can suggest outside of mods are:
  • Play music.
  • Accelerate slower.
  • Accelerate a lot quicker.

Haha appreciate the tips. Think I’ve done all of the above. Also about to pull the trigger on a catback 😂

Is the noise persistent during IDLE or only through acceleration?
I had a similar problem, however, the whining noise came from the gap of my driver side's mirror. While accelerating, the noise increased and was amplified by wind.

You can try folding the mirror while accelerating and if the noise disappears, you've found the problem.
Again, my noise had nothing to do with engine components, just a lack of quality on the part itself. Took it to the dealership and they changed it for free. They actually told me that i wasn't the first one to have the same problem as well.

Hope this helps..

I noticed this too the other day when I had the music playing low. Doesn't bother me.
