50/50 for me also, drive to work on the highway and drive around the city during the day. I roughly do 400 miles from Monday to Friday and will get consistently 380 miles with a 14 gallon full up before heading home Friday evening.
The dash is always between 25.8 -26.5

I’ve got under 70000mi on my 14. I do 60mi round trip for work everyday. Just did my first 400mi road trip. The car is holding up beautifully. I’ve had no issues so far, and after that long drive I’m even more confident in my car. The two issues I’ve found with the 2014 is the heated seats SUCK. no other way to put it, they suck. Apparently Lexus screwed up. And my screen is messed up. But I have extended warranty so I’ll take it in when I’m not so lazy. I’lll average over 300mi per tank. And that’s driving 100% sport + and trac fully disabled. I drive hard sometimes/most the time. And I’m in manual mode half the time. I’ve noticed almost zero difference in mpg between all 4 drive modes. And I tested each one extensively. Only real complaint is the lack of steering feel. Sport plus will just stiffen the wheel. You don’t get much feedback. I don’t have the VGRS tho I don’t know how that feels. I have the AWD model. I actually can’t NOT drive in sport mode anymore. It’s just not fun, and as far as gears hanging too much, just click the right paddle and boom engine is no longer revving high. In BC last winter we didn’t get huge amounts. But I have blizzaks and my car was awesome in the snow. Again, as soon as I got in full trac disable. It drives like a rwd almost in the snow. Very fun and good in the snow.
Highly recommend this car. Oh yea my other complaint is the slushy transmission. The paddles are slushy. And it will only blip the throttle on downshifts if the rpm is high enough. Over 3000 I believe. And sometimes shifting into first if it’s not in a good rpm it will kinda lurch and gear down real sloppy. When driving hard paddles are lagged. I’m compared them to the isf trans my buddy has in his LS. And my dads dct Audi. Compared to those two transmissions, in performance, it lacks severely. But it is almost bullet proof. That’s what you get with Lexus. Reliability. The transmission is good and good enough for the average guy. Me I just need something more performance orientated. So the trans, heated (or lack there of) seats, and vague steering feel are my only real complaints. Other wise I love this car and wouldn’t take anything else in its class. If the rs3 hatchback comes to Canada I’m trading in the IS.

I'm in BC as well, have the same car, and agree with all of that (okay, except for the RS3, ha). Heated seats are lame, it's great in the snow, and the paddle shifters are slow and more about convenience. Seems the shifter in manual mode is quicker and more responsive. Will be putting in the LCA bushings soon which should increase the steering feel somewhat, and been able to get pretty decent deals on other mods so far. Not a sedan guy but the car is well-lined and distinctive, and the seats are the best I've sat in. Still not a fan of the F-Sport dash, gas mileage is crappy and I drive pretty easily but oh well, so much more is good to make up for it

Yes I use M all the time. The paddles still are not very responsive. Like I said, in comparison to the direct shift trans and the Audi dct. If you’ve ever driven an Audi, you know how lightning fast it changes gears. Specially down shifting. As soon as you click the paddle it shifts. Where as our cars you click the paddle, Delay, shift.
