Default 2019 IS 300 Negotiating

Hello,

This is my first post, I apologize if there is another one with a similar topic. I am currently closing a deal this Wednesday for a brand new 2019 IS 300 base model for 37,583 (TTF included). I used costco pricing + college rebate and some negotiating. I still wanted to get a better price and am wondering if anyone has been able to get service, extended warranty, or accessories thrown into the deal. The dealer offered me all weathers with the trunk liner and a sunshade. If this is too good a deal already, please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

According to Lexus' site, the MRSP for a base IS 300 starts at $38,400. So if you're getting an offer from the dealership for $37,583 with those added accessories out the door, you'd already be getting a deal.

I'm assuming since you stated 'base' that there are no other options added on the sticker, but do you know if that pricing included any options (ie. BSM, ML, memory seats, etc.)? Because if it does, then you'd be getting an awesome deal as luiave stated above.

Sounds like a good deal already. Unless you really must have this car though, consider something else. Sounds like you're frugal, so keep in mind this car will eat tires, fuel, and brakes like no tomorrow. Unless you can wrench, those brake jobs are going to cost you big bucks. What specifically about this car appeals to you? It's a fairly dated car at this point with lacking powertrains, cramped interior, and little features.

Yes. Bought a 2017 Lexus IS 200t on June 21st 2017. Base model with 18" staggered wheels and back up camera (was an option at the time, now it's the law). MSRP was roughly 39,700. Negotiated car down to $32,800

So yes. Most dealerships, atleast in So. Cal are discounting the 2019 IS 300 by 15 to 20 percent off MSRP. I recently got a quote for a base 2019 IS 300 from Newport for $31,900, but I still have a year on my current lease.

yeah they are probably facing a challenge off loading them as the car was barely acceptably competitive at launch, and now 5 years later, magnitudes more so. Still a great car in an absolute sense, as most new cars are. Just not very competitive.

Thank you everyone for the feedback and suggestions. I thought it would be helpful to everyone for me to share my findings after deciding not to purchase the IS. We decided to go for a SUV instead, which triggered competing dealerships to offer me the same vehicle at a discounted price if I reconsider. The OTD went from 37,583 down to 36,000. This in part made me slightly upset because I had only been working with one dealership originally, but decided to call Newport because of the post from Gary (thank you). We shopped around between the Lexus NX 300 and the Mercedes GLC. The Mercedes dealer told me that he used to work for Lexus (6 years) and I asked him about getting the IS 300 for 32,000 and if it was even possible. He told me that if the dealership really wanted to get rid of it at cost, 33,000 would be reasonable.
