Default 2014 IS350 purchase

hey i’m currently debating on if i should buy a 2014 is350 for 22k vs a 19k 2015 is250. The is350 is what i’m leaning towards because of preferred color choice (metallic silver/red guts) but it has 73k miles. The is250 is cheaper, newer and has 50k miles but it’s not my preferred color choice(white/tan guts) plus i want the extra speed that the is350 exerts.....would it be a dumb choice to pick the 350?

Prediction if you get the 250 -- every time you look at it, you'll wish you'd got the colour you wanted, and every time you hit the gas you'll wish you'd got the bigger engine. At least, that's how I would see it going for me.

If you have the opportunity, you might test drive both vehicles and see which driving experience you prefer. Personally, I love the powerful response that my 350 delivers. I enjoy it every time I accelerate.

I'd suggest getting the 350. Had a 200t / 250 loaner and it just wasn't my cup of tea

atomoc silver on red interior is one of the best combos.
tan, imo is ugly as heck. If you don’t care about driving fast and performance at all, get a 250... if you enjoy performance, like to mash it here and there go for the 350.

Not sure I'd ever get a tan (or white) interior either, as longevity and keeping it looking not-worn will be the most difficult of any, unless perhaps it's a pleasure-only weekend cruiser.

Drive them both (if you haven't already) and the decision will likely be quite clear, unless the $3K is a deal-breaker, which it doesn't sound like it is. The 23K miles difference will be immaterial in no time.

Good to know 22k for a 73k mile 350. I currently have a 14 IS350 f-sport with 56k on it and am looking to trade it in for an RX at some point in the near future. I would go with the 350. Anytime I had the 250 as a loaner I immediately felt better about my decision. Also, get the color combo you want silver and red is nice. I have white/red but silver/red was my second pick. The f sport seats are another plus - I found them more comfy.
