Default Caliper color question.

Getting my calipers professionally painted in 2 weeks on my ‘16 IS350 Fsport. The car’s color is atomic silver.
I’ve “about” decided on the royal blue color that I’ve included in the picture. I know tastes are varied, but I’m open to have my mind changed. Any suggestions for a different color?

That color would look really good on the atomic silver, except I would steer you away from paying someone else to do it for you. I would do it yourself. It is super easy to do.

Pinging @sunamer, since he recently did his ...

I think that color matches the "F" blue pretty nicely, but red is also a great color for Atomic Silver, or silver in general.

I’d LOVE to do my own, but I simply do not have the facilities available to me.

I did mine own with just a jack and jackstands. You can usually rent these at autozone or something similar if you dont have your own. G2 paint kit is 50$.

where do you live? I’m going down to Toronto next month, there are places that will professionally do calipers for 120-140$. They remove everything, sand, paint, clear coat and apply decal if you want one. Was thinking of doing it in my driveway but by the time I buy all the materials, rent jack stands & the time it would take I figure dropping 120-140$ with 1 year warranty on the work is nothing. I’m going high gloss black with no decals, what rims do you have?
ive got atomic silver to with factory fsport rims, thought a colour might be cool but didn’t know if it would look tacky.

These quotes got all messed up. Pretty sure this comment is directed towards OP.

I have an Atomic Silver 2014 IS350 Fsport with racing red calipers. I had a shop here in Germany paint them for me. They took apart the calipers, sanded them, allied 2 coats of racing red paint, applied my F-Sport decals, and then applied 2 coats of clear coat before putting them back on. So far the pain hasn't come off or even chipped. I had the front and rear done. Rear is done without the decals.

Got the box of G2 Paint today, it's actually a 2-part epoxy that hardens. Very very durable.

I live in Upstate South Carolina. The shop I’m using only does caliper painting and rim repair. They use a 6 stage process that takes 4 days to complete. $125/caliper. It’s a no brainer.

4 days, $125, no brainier to pass on that.

I think FSport blue would look great with the atomic silver.

My Obsidian black are currently plain black calipers. I may redo gloss black w/decal OR I saw some gold ones on black rims and...whoa.

I have a related question. Where do we get the F-Sport decals and what size are they?
If I paint these myself do I just paint the color and the apply the decal and a clear coat?

I think the royal blue will look good. I'm thinking red myself.

Thanks, elvis (my family is in upstate, SC, Greenwood)
