I got two suspension related questions, 1) is it possible to replace just the bushings in the control arms on a 2014 IS 350 or the it has to be the whole control arm? I got noise coming from there which I think is the bushings. 2) I was told be the dealer that my rear drivers side shock is leaking and I need to replace it, does anyone know any good sources for a reasonable price? (I'm in Toronto btw)
your best bet really is dealer for the part and install yourself. you really should do suspension items on one axle in pair. dampers are not on/off. they degrade over time.
as far as the front CABs, you can just do the bushings as you can with most cars. Unless the noise is the ball joint then you'd need to replace the whole arm. have to properly ID your noise first.
never get **** done at a dealership.. you can change just bushings without anything else but i'll give you my experience:
my local lexus dealership wanted: $87 per bushing (2) .. got the same parts from toyota hollywood / discountmonster for $56-60 ea
then, they wanted $100-150 per hour labor and said it would be 1.5-2 hours of a labor.. got it done at a local Meneike and he did it within 20-30 min for $100 (and checked my other suspension components).. F the dealer.. only get warranty work from there

No one has reported a noisy control arm bushing yet...but then again someone has to be first. You would definitely need to find the source of the noise first before throwing parts at it.
And as E46CT states below...replace the shocks in pairs...meaning on the same axle. The rears are not bad to do at all, since they are seperate from the spring.

Replacing an entire arm for a ball joint? I guess it depends if it's RWD or AWD. The AWD (like mine) has a seperate balljoint from the control arm. I haven't seen/looked at the RWD front control arm, but I know it is different from the AWD one.
