Looking to replace my Gateway ECU to try to solve my battery drain problem and just wanted to confirm the location before I tear up my dash. Based on threads from the GS forum, I'm guessing the gateway ECU is behind the glove box in my IS350. Can anyone confirm this? Looking to use specOne's video as a guide to getting behind there. Appreciate any helpful input, thanks!
Thanks Sasnuke. Just swapped it out. Wasn't hard to get back there at all, probably should have done that before I bought the part off eBay. As it turns out, I just swapped out my Gateway ECU with the same part number. Looks like it had already been replaced with the new part number previously. Still hoping though that it was the problem, perhaps defective. Guess we'll have to wait and see the next time I don't drive the car for more than 2-3 days.
Yeah, I should have checked before buying the same part. Was hoping that was the source of my battery drain. Still could have been if the gateway ECU was defective I guess.
Check the parasitic draw on the vehicle if you've installed the new Gateway ECU. (and that is the correct updated part number)
You can use the instructions in the attached bulletin to check the parasitic draw.
Hi, quick question (I really hope you will be able to answer it)
I have a 2016 IS 350 F-Sport and I am retrofitting parking sensors. I bought everything but the Parking Sensor Module is not recognized. Turns out I need the Gateway ECU, which I ordered with part number
8910030221
Do you have information whether it will fit my car? The one on this thread is with a different part number.
