Welcome, fellow Kansas City person.

I think you'd be best off posting the LS forums about that. I wasn't aware the LS's got Brembo pads with their F Sport package... neat. I think we get Textar pads with the IS F Sport. They are fantastic though, so I would rather get the updated brake shims than I would switch to a less-aggressive pad material.

Ah, and I see you already posted there... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...l#post10510831

Update: I brought the car to the dealer and they refused to service it because the original owner had replaced the OEM pads. There goes my hope of using the TSB. I went ahead and purchased some Akebano pads and installed them last night. The squeal is completely gone but the stopping power has definitely decreased. However, I knew this before getting them since ceramic pads don't have that "initial bite" feel.

Hope this helps others.

Can you elaborate on the "refused to service it"? Do you mean that they refused to service it under warranty or service it outright? The latter sounds like bad customer service if you ask me, but the former makes sense.

The dealer refused to service it under the manufacturer's warranty and TSB because the original owner of the car replaced the OEM pads with aftermarket ones.
