HOW LONG Will You KEEP Your IS?
I will keep this car a minimum of 10 total years, possibly much longer now that I drive only a few thousand miles a year. I still find this car quite enjoyable to drive and am enjoying a sound reliability experience.
Lease ends July but i have almost 10k miles left so I may extend a month or two to use up all the miles I purchased. Next car will be a lease for 3 years; by then the 2nd Gen ISF should debut or the 4IS with turbo V6 (lol, one can dream ). Thinking of leasing the 2019 BMW 330I Msport since I heard BMW sorta bench-marked the E46 with this car. E46 was legendary, I have owned two, so naturally this G20 speaks to me. Just need to do a test drive and decide.
If all else fails I will lease either the face lifted RC350 F sport or an IS350 F sport, IS350 is the last choice so we shall see which one i end up with of the 3 potential replacements.

Lease is ending in August. So i'll return it then.
Tempted by the new Tesla model 3. But maybe in a few years. lol.
I haven't been driving my IS for over a week now... it's on empty. i fill it up and it seems lt needs fuel again in 3 days. kind of sick of it. 240 hp doesn't justify 17mpg.
I think BMW M2s are getting 22mpg.. with aggressive driving. lol

My wife really wants me to look at the Model 3. However I don't think she understands that I have issues with their quality control, etc. And also the fact that road trips wouldn't be very fun in that car.
Idk I keep thinking more and more that I just need to find a good deal on a CPO IS or GS and call it a day. I know it will run forever if taken care of and will be good to drive.
Yep. Until it falls apart or becomes more maintenance than it is worth. Nothing better than a paid off car.
My sentiments exactly. If I sold my 2015 right now, I would lose half the money I spent. Considering how well built this car is, and how slow I rack up the mileage, it may outlive me lol
17 MPG is terrible for a 200T. I get 19 from my 300 AWD. You must have a heavy foot

I bought my 2011 IS350 awd in '13 with 10k miles on it. I just took it in for a oil change with 28k on the odometer. I drive my truck daily. Its pretty much a spotless car.. I'll keep it til Lexus comes out with something faster because my car will smoke the newer AWD IS and RC F-Sport models. AWD is a must for me being in northern Indiana. I would consider a RC-F or a modern IS-F with the 5.0 or a turbo 3.5 V6 if it was AWD.
I now see lots of them in LA. WHAT exactly is the WORD on Tesla quality, reliability, maintenance, etc? THANKS!!
I would want to. It's a 2015 IS350 FSport, Red Leather, 35k miles, excellent condition, new Michelin tires, new 4-wheel alignment, and $3000 PPF, but I don't think anyone would give me close to $35k.
