Default Fog light Vinyl

Instead of messing with bulbs, I was thinking of putting on some vinyl for foglight.

What do you guys think?
Amazon Amazon

Do they lower light output?

Appreciate the help

any time you cover your lights with any film it lowers output. i'd go yellow bulbs instead if you must use some yellow stuff.

Im a 90s fan (and I also love the SC300), and I felt u needed to test out some yellow fogs.

I did Putco bulbs. And also Yellow vinyls.
I got it out of my system and in conclusion, I just don't think it fits the 3IS. At least, certainly not my black 3IS.

I installed another vinyl but they're just tinted slightly, as they should be.

Oh, and yes it will technically lower light output but yellow is the most receptive light and isn't going to look any less bright with those overlays .

I did the 1st time but not necessary.
i believe its 3 1/2 inch diameter...but measure to be sure. Might of been 4"

Want to cut the piece a little larger to compensate for the curveature of the lense. If it's just a little big it will wrap around the edge and/or hide behind the housing. Depending on what setup or vehicle.

All Lexus OEM fogs are the same size.

Just buy a large sheet and stretch it with heat, best way to get edge to edge coverage. You light output will do down maybe 5-10% with most yellow translucent vinyl.
here is my sti with yellow overlay, if you dont want the lenses yellow then buy yellow bulbs, I personally like the yellow lense.

What I did...

Cut the vinyl
Clean the lense
Sprayed a water/soap mixture. Minimal soap was sufficient for this application.
Put vinyl on
Hair dryer on/off as I laid the vinyl.
Depending on vehicle, vinyl squeegee or credit card to apply vinyl.

I have blue tint on my fogs on my LS and I had pink tint on my SC300’s fog. The blue reduced my light output with white bulbs and gave the lights a slight blue look. The pink didn’t make a big difference but the color of the tint faded after a while. I removed the pink tint.
