Default 3rd Gen Interior and Exterior Led Lights

Hey Guys! Just got a brand new 2018 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport and was surprised to see that the exterior passenger and driver door lights are in the faded out yellow and the interior bulbs are also yellow...has anybody found a good and reliable company to buy replacements from? Oracle is not an option btw. Got my Camry lights from them and they were breaking almost every month...not dealing with the hassle with them again.

If you want quality but pricey bulbs, get Diode Dynamics. If you want decent and decently priced, try JDM Astar bulbs.

Perfect! I will give both of them a try.

As everyone else has recommended, just try to get some SMD 194/168 LEDs in bulk and go nuts!

Hopefully the next IS comes with full LED. It's a shame that a 2018 car is still coming with prehistoric lightbulbs that literally emits light by heating a wire until it gets red hot. what year are we in again, Lexus?

I like forward thinking companies like Tesla when it comes to this. There's a few cars out there now that are full LED. I think even some of the new Lexuses may be... I notice the 2018 NX i drove had some cool touch-activated LED map lights.

I used these in my TL and now in my IS. No issues. They only go in one way though. Bright but not too bright.

Yeah, I was suprised. My "06 Acura TL had all external led, except for the headlights. Not the Lexus.

My gf just picked up a 2016 NX and it also has LED map lights. Surprising that Lexus still hasn't put them on the IS.

How do you know what the different types of LED lights to get for the interior & exterior lights? For example whats the type of bulb to get for the license plate light vs the reverse light vs the interior over head light?

Yes, I agree... it's pretty surprising that all of the interior lights are not LEDs stock. I was just quickly browsing through a few dealerships around my areas selling 2019 IS's and it looked like the stickers showed "LED interior lights"? Wondering if that's misstated...

Wow really? If that's true then I can't believe it took them this long to get with the times lol.
