Default What do you run your tire PSI?

My tires have a 50 psi max. The door jam label suggests max COLD pressure is 36. I am running my WARM pressure at 45.

Im a new IS350F owner and just learned about extensive tire wear on the IS. Seems like most dealers/service techs under inflate to me.

Where do I keep your tire pressure?

Go by cold pressure on your door sticker. I run a little more during the winter to account for when it sits overnight. Lowest pressure is generally at 32 -33. Keeps the light off. Highest is around 38 once fully warmed. Good enough for day to day driving

A lot of this depends on the type of tire you are using as well. Stock v Aftermarket. For my RCF I run 36 all the way around on the Aftermarket Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 4S. Last thing I want is to over inflate these expensive, short life tires. We all know the signs of over inflation right?

There are other great tires, but this is generally the most prevalent.

ok so it's not a "cup" tire... that PS4 has thread wear rating of 300.. not short life at all, but you're right on the expensive side

It's tread, guys. Not thread. It's a tire not a sweater =P

If you have factory size tires I would go by the door jamb.

36 cold. The TPMS will trigger at 31 if there is a 2 psi difference between the tire at 31 and any other tire.

I wonder if the TPMS will trigger if too high? I set my CT200h F Sport 215 45 17 tires at 40psi cold and the other day while on a long drive I got the tire warning... I go WTH i just filled the tires to 40 psi. I pull over safely and check it out and nada. tires hard as a rock. I think it may have warmed up to 45+ psi while hot and tripped the sensor. I get back on the freeway, and the tire warning goes away.. presumably cause it cooled down.
