Anyone getting the Alexa Auto?
Wondering if it’s worth getting the Echo Auto? Seems like you can use the Alexa app on your phone for Alexa but I guess the only advantage would be hands free commands? Would also be nice if you could control things in your car with Alexa Skills

I think the original poster is referring to the “echo auto” which was recently announcement by Amazon and is available for preorder for $24.99 right now.
Personally I am not sure I get the purpose of it. I can get the same thing from my phone by using Google Assistant. The only advantage I see if the better microphone arrays on it.

I see the advantage is that you don’t have to press to speak to your phone and can tell Alexa to play whatever via voice only.
Click request invitation to preorder for $25 instead of $50
The Echo Auto will work with any car and should work fine The IS. Alexa auto which is being built into some car manufactures infotainment system will not work in The IS.
I guess for the low cost of the echo auto it might be worth trying to see if it is useful.
