Default Midpipe+stock exhaust vs stock midpipe+aftermarket exhaust

Hey guys. I just traded in my 2015 IS250 for a 2017 IS350. I took off my Joe-Z axle back from my 250 and was planning on putting it on my new 350. However, I really like the new exhaust design on the new 350 Fsport. I was wondering if any of you know which would sound better: keeping my stock exhaust and getting a new mid pipe (I know there are limited options for an AWD), or should I just install my axle back if I want it to sound nice? My friend was saying that they both would sound about the same.

Shave Joe Z tips off the axleback, vice versa with the stock, and wield the stock tips onto the Joe Z.

Joe Z sound w/ stock tips. xD

Yea that is one option. I think for now I'll just install my Joe-Z and see what it looks like. I prefer not to cut anything until I'm sure that's what I want to do.

I have the tsudo midpipe with stock axle back and except for a slight increase in low tone at 2k rpm it makes almost ZERO difference. I'm sure the loss of the secondary cat and small resonators help the gasses move somewhat, I would have saved myself the trouble if I knew how little difference it made to sound.

Ahh that's very helpful to know. Thanks for the input! I think I'm going to put on my axleback for now and later on consider adding a midpipe to it.
