Retrofit/Pixel Performance RGB LED DRL - wiring help
I think im going to go with the wet cardboard on a cookie sheet method, maybe ill put the harness in an oven mitt haha.
Sorry for all the comments, im just sketched out about putting my DRL's in the oven. I dont think that leaving the harness out of the oven is an option, but in any case, what did you do about the gasket for the wires?

don't worry bro, i know how anxious one can get when you are modding a part at this extent haha
It should be good, not taking on any liabilities! As for the oven mitt though, don't know about that!
Im going to start with the hair dryer on extra hot and see what i can do, if not, into the oven it goes. Ill let you know how it went in a few hours.
Alright guys update: everything is installed and wired up, minus the turn signal switchback(Ill explain in a sec)
I resealed the drls no proble, popped them in the bumper and got to wiring up the turn signal wires. let me mention while i was doing this, i had IGN on so my headlights and drls (and i turned my flasher on) so i could test for the correct wire, after cutting into the wrong wire, i immediately noticed and reinsulated it. Then i spliced the turn signal into the correct wire. Around this time the ign had turned itself off. I was like "Oh cool i didnt know lexus had this feature". (side note it wasnt an immediate shutoff when i connected that wire, it was a minute or two) I got in the car and turned the IGN on and thats when i ran into more issues, random electrical things were being all wacky, like lights dimming and not staying constant, my wipers even came on at one point. random funky electronic things, and i started to get scared that somehow, something got shorted. I do all kinds of projects having to do with electricity and wires, id consider myself more than capable of wiring up something like this. I got out, cut the turn signal switchback wire and said screw it, i dont need my drls to flash yellow for 5 seconds every once in a while. Re-insulated everything, then actually remounted my bumper. Got back in the car and still had these funky electrical issues.
I went to check the battery voltage: it was 6.2 volts.
This could either be a really good thing, or a really bad thing. Either the bettery is just completely dead from having the main headlights, IGN, and blinker on for so long, or its confirming my fear of a short. I did use the continuity tester function on mu multimeter and nothing came up meaning a clean circuit so....
my ABS, trac, and check engine light among others were all on.

I just got my RGB LED Switchback swoops
and the third time I've tried to compose a message. I guess I need to compose in another place.
Best power source for Morimoto XTB controller?

Tap yellow into turn signal?
Profile Pixel Output:
Black, white and red wires don't appear to be needed unless attached to White yellow switchback lights.
Thanks Jack
I plugged the controller to the DRL harness/driver that is linked to the new DRL RGB boards. I guess you figured out by now since i'm answering this pretty late.
The black red and white wires are needed for night and day time dimming of the DRL's, and the ability to turn the DRL's off from the headlight switch and from the multimedia system.
I didnt end up using the turn signal switchback function.
Dont go with the XBT, Its not waterproof. Found that out the hard way. Plug it into the same you tapped the red and black wires into from the controller.

Mine works fine still after heavy rain.
Make sure you tape everything, even the plugs and connectors of the XBT...at least, that's what I did.
I also made sure the lining between the wheels and the bumper was properly enclosed. I broke the little bracket that holds the 10mm screw and the bumper, so I had to use zip ties LOL.
Overall, try rechecking all connections?
