Hello, all, i purchased my very first lexus yesterday. A 2016 IS 300 AWD. I plan on doing a build thread but I need some help. It seems it is difficult to find mod parts for this car.

My question is, does anything that fit an IS350 fit this car? IE, lowering springs, rear diffuser, exhaust systems, headers, lighting, etc

I also plan on purchasing the RR - Racing performance kit - tune, headers, exhaust

but first things first, I'd like to find lowering springs that fit and possibly a rear diffuser. Thanks!!

Yep. 350 for 2016 had the same engine as the 300, 2GR-FSE. Nothing is different under the hood, except the ECU detune. Interior/exterior is the same as well, with the exception of the avs on the 350 f sport. I have a 16 300 AWD with rr racing tune, and have bought a few parts interior and exterior - I can agree sometimes it seems online only the is250 and is350 exist.

Congratulations and welcome! I think RSR will tell you what sprig to install. The 250 and 350 spring is the same part. I couldn't tell you about the 2016 AWD. I think it might be the same.

1. Yes, even 250
2. As long as it's AWD for 250/300/350
3. No difference in any 3IS except for F Sport and non
4. Any 3IS axle back will fit, the mid pipe will be different as you'll need one for AWD
5. See #2
6. No difference in any models

Enjoy your build!

Thanks guys! I've about to buy the RR-Racing performance package that they have, tune, headers, exhaust. If anyone has any feedback on this package they are offering please let me know.

Josh - i sent you a text

As far as wheels go, would 18x8, 40 offset have any problems on the H&R lowered springs?

Speaking of which, i cannot find these H&R springs, if someone could kindly post a link that will fit this car. Thank you! - well apparently my only options for springs for AWD is RSR springs. Someone let me know if this is incorrect. Thanks!

Hi, congrats on the new car. You will find many positive reviews of our is300 tune. It was a great choice to purchase the is300 vs is350, as both cars are mechanically identical -- same engine, same tranny, same everything, only difference is the IS300 is de-tuned, something that we can correct with our tune. Adding headers and exhaust further enhances an already great power tune. We worked hard to develop and test the is300 tune, so we would certainly appreciate your business in case you are interested in a complete power package!

thanks!

Rafi

Thanks Rafi, this was the reason I purchased a 300 instead of a 350. I do plan on purchasing the power package per my pm. I sent you a pm with a couple more questions. I hope you don't mind.

Josh - i sent you another text, i'm interested with the RSR down springs and the RF-Style CF diffuser -> as long as this fits the ark exhaust i plan on purchasing above. let me know!

Congrats on the car!
Things to think about when tuning:
lowering springs vs coilovers- I JUST learned from an industry expert that lowering springs aren't for anything beyond looks. The stock shock is the same and you have actually shortened the stroke travel of the stock shock, which causes handling issues (eg hard cornering you get one side maxed out which makes the opposite side go light in the tires). Need to also make sure the spring rate is the same front/rear ratio as factory. Usually better to go with a coil over set up to save tuning headaches later on.

Tunes- especially on these D4S motors, choose a tuner wisely. It can be easy to click buttons on a laptop, but these engines make changes to timing in the nanoseconds

If i were to buy the tune now and install it with just stock internals, then later down the road i add the headers, exhaust to the car....would I need another tune? Some cars require a retune but i'm not sure if this car does.

RR does free retune.
