And I think to clarify, it didn't effect all 2014's...the vehicle had to have certain options to be equipped with the particular Gateway ECU.
Gotcha, and since I have not received anything from Lexus, other than the wheel arch corrosion TSB, I shouldn't worry. Any idea what the options were that requred that Gateway ECU?

Since i brought my car since 2014 March..... i have replaced apx 4 batteries...... today marks the 5th battery......
Lexus batteries are bad quality!..........
they check everything and said battery doesn't hold a charge, therefore they replaced....... thank god the car can still start up somehow after few tries...........
extend warranties doesn't cover batteries and my car is only 51K.
There’s definitely an issue with 14s. I had a ‘14 IS250 F Sport and the battery went dead when the car was 4 months old and sat for 3 days while I was out of town. I have had my 2016 IS350 F Sport for two years and have not had any issues. It sat for 10 days while I was in Germany. I am a bit surprised to see an issue with a 17.
My first Lexus was a 1994 GS300 which I bought in 2002. I was the third owner. The guy I bought it from bought it as a CPO and had all of the records. That car got a new battery every 2 years. I put Die Hard Golds in it because the Lexus batteries were not very good. Still, though, no issues in my ‘16 with 22K miles.

You have to have Blind Spot Monitoring and/or Dynamic (Radar) Cruise Control.

I have the Blind Spot Monitoring system, but not the Dynamic Cruise Control on my '14.

In this case you could have a potentially effected vehicle, however, since it's only a TSB, Lexus applies the fix only to vehicles that exhibit the condition.
With the wheel arch corrosion, that was a Campaign recall, where Lexus has no choice but to check all the vehicles, and apply the fix if the vehicle needs it.
If your vehicle hasn't had the issue in 4 years, chances are you will be fine without the TSB being done.
