Creaking popping

Could be anything. Check out the strut/shock mounts in front. Also sway endlink balljoints, front control arm bushings. Could be anything.
my guess is since you are asking what this is, you don't have the knowledge of all the parts to check and thus not the knowledge to DIY. you might be better going to a shop -- especially for safety reasons.

I had a noise that I would have described like yours on my 2014 250.
There was another thread discussing it and the conclusion was is was coming from the front brakes.
It was suggested that the front brake pads might be low and the sound being heard was the pads shifting within the caliper bracket.
For those that either serviced or replaced the pads the noise appeared to stop.
If that is the noise you are hearing it doesn't pose a safety concern, just annoying.
And because of the different style of calipers on the 200t, 200, and 350, those owners wouldn't experience this noise.
Since I converted my front brakes to the 350 ones, I also don't hear the noise anymore.

It's a new car so probably not...but the ball joints is what it sounds like. These break on older cars and loose all the grease. I guess a lot of things are possible.
Brakes more likely but certainly check both.

It was the idea that the noise happened during breaking AND when he turned. This gives me the idea theres an issue somewhere on those arms behind the wheel .
I just haven't had the joy to ever hear brakes make a popping sound when being applied or turning the wheel.
Hopefully it's just brakes!
