Yup just a better filter that’s reusable and allows more air through it. It’s not as restrictive as a paper filter.

The 2018 models aren’t in almost any website database so if you use 2016 or 2017 Lexus IS 200t that will pretty much confirm it since it’s the SAME exact car engine and transmission wise. That’s what I do. But to confirm yes it should fit although some people said they had to cut out the carbon filter for it to fit perfectly.

Would a K&N filter be the same as the f-sport? Would I be able to hear the bov?

I don’t like oiled filters personally. The F Sport filter isn’t oiled and changing the filter cause a significant difference in noise from the turbo. Go aftermarket intake for loud turbo noises d:

I wouldn't go K&N or oiled. It's risky in my opinion. No two people will oil it the same, enough, or too much. Oil on the MAF is something you definitely want to avoid if you put too much. And there's no real definition of "too much."

Go F sport! Set it and forget it. Clean (spray cleaner and rinse) every 10k or so.

This maybe a dumb question but I’ve gotta ask. Can these not be used in the IS300 awd’s? Seen where they’re only listed for 200’s and 350’s. I figured it would be same application for the 300 V6 as the 350 V6 or am I wrong? Any insight would be appreciated.

I see no reason why it wouldn't unless the 300 has a different airbox. As long as the airbox is the same, it will fit. It should be the same though. 99.9% sure. you'd have to check part #s to be sure. i could do it but i'm lazy right now. lol!
