thx in advance.

On certain pages of the infotainment, this button is used for sub menu functions. The display will show what the button would do if it’s an option for that page

2015 IS250 F Sport AWD. I need to replace the rear toe arms and was thinking about using these Megan toe arms. My questions are:

Are these an upgrade over OEM? Is it worth future-proofing my suspension if I plan to lower it down the line?
Is there anything else I should consider upgrading while I'm there?

If you have not seen him already, you might find the Car Care Nut on Youtube to be very informative.
This fellow is a service tech for Toyota and Lexus and he is really excellent. He discusses the "new" FKS engine in detail in one video. He also discusses lifetime ATF in another. (Hint: it's marketing.) There are several videos and he is very popular now, because he is very good! Just search for the topic or the CarCareNut and you will find it quite easily.

Default Strut tower bolt torque specs

Hey guys, I have 2014 Lexus IS250. I was looking to buy a strut tower brace and was just wondering: Once I put the strut tower brace in, how much ft-lb of torque are the 3 bolts on each side? Thanks

Hi All, Did someone experienced a double beep near automatic doors equipped with radar motion detectors while driving?
I usually get this beeps in the vicinity of certain gas stations or malls even 100 yards away.

Where is the beep coming from? Do you see any message on the dash or gauges?

I also have my own question...

When I was poking around in the engine bay, I happened to notice my brake fluid is more or less pale yellow-green in color. I looked at an older photo I took of the engine bay, and it seems to be a similar lemon-lime color. Does that seem like the normal brake fluid color? I think my GTI/GLI had clear brake fluid.

Hi all. Does everyone's AC default to Recirculate upon start up? I have a brand new 2022 IS300 AWD and even though I set it to AUTO AC and press the fresh air button, when I start up again, it is on Recirculate. I have to press the Fresh Air button when I notice it. "Normal" for IS, or is there some setting I should update? I don't see a setting for that in the various menus I have checked.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that is normal for most, if not all, auto climate systems. Recirculation mode makes it easier for the system to set the correct temperature and remove moisture from the air.
The next time I'm out, I'll turn it back to fresh air and see what it defaults to on startup.

Edit: It resets back to recirc.

Mine seems to switch between recirculating and fresh air on its own. I just let the car decide.

Mine goes exclusively to recirc when it's on LO (cool the cabin down as fast as possible). Today was a bit cool (10c) and it switched to fresh air when I set it to 15c (the lowest it can go while displaying a temperature). I know that on hotter days it will definitely go to recirc if the outside temperature is warm enough, or at least higher than the requested temperature.

If 3IS is short for 3rd gen IS. Is there a short hand for 3rd gen IS Fsport? Is it 3ISF ?

Thanks everyone for the AC air mode answers. I figured it was nothing to worry about, but just making sure.

I'm planning to pick up a 2022 IS350 F-Sport at the end of this month. As you can see from my signature, I've never owned an IS. Will I be disappointed with the size? I've always heard the back seat is a joke, but I've seen video reviews of this car and it seems fine. Also, do the F-Sport models come with rear sunshade? I don't see it mentioned on the "factory sticker". Thanks!

That sounds too similar to 3rd-gen IS F, which does not exist.

I see people say things like "IS 350 F" sometimes which is more acceptable because at least you're clarifying that it's a 350 and not an F. IMO 3IS is good enough. IMHO, F Sport is available across multiple trims and is not that useful without the rest of the model designation.
