Default Anyone running this tire set up?

Looking into getting some new tires. Im going the Bridgestone turenzas like nothing. These are cooper Zeon 225/40/18 Fronts 255/35/18 Rears

Will this work? Tired searching the threads and from the looks of it, it will work but don't want to chance it.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the All Wheel Drive IS is a square setup meaning that the front and rear wheel and tire sizes are the same. I'm not sure about the 250 rwd but I know for a fact that the 350 rwd is staggered.

Do you have the F Sport, or no? The IS F Sport, even with AWD, has staggered tires. Even so, I don't see why going staggered would be an issue. You can check the aftermarket wheel thread I guess?

All the F Sports are staggered regardless of drive wheels. My AWD IS is staggered for instance.

So, the tire sizes you have in the first post are the same as OEM. What's your concern here? I wouldn't think you would have any issues.

Mine is a Luxury IS300 awd and has staggered as well, didn’t pay attention to it until I took delivery.

On the same car you have, I run 255/45/18 rears and 225/50/18’s in the front. As long as the circumference or diameter are within a tolerance level between front and rear, you should be fine. My tires are about 3 inches taller front and back, but the same width as OEM.

Any issues with running taller tires, like rubbing at full lock? How do you correct the speed reported by the speedometer? I also imagine this pretty much kills the low end torque so that it feels like you are starting in second gear?

Zero rubbing, unless I pack 4 adults into it and hit speed bumps. But, the car is just for my wife and I with a combined weight of 300lbs.

The speed is about 3-4mph faster at 60, I just add that to the speedo and it’s fairly accurate. At 45 I add 2 mph, and so forth. In 45 years of driving on oversized tires, not one ticket!!

Low end torque is not noticeable...but then again, I don’t race, tear around cars and corners, or try to go from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds...leave that to the guys with excessive testosterone. It likely goes 0-60 ~.2-.3 seconds slower than the other guys, but on the quarter mile it will likely take most identical IS350 F-Sports.

So no real issues and the car looks better with limited wheel well gap. And, no worries about curbs, potholes, frozen snow chunks on the road, etc. On my end, this is function over form...most guys prefer form over function, like wearing saggy pants to a fist fight or 100 meter sprint.

BTW, thanks for asking!
