Default Carbon build up in 2014 IS250 ?

Hi all
I’m considering purchasing the 2014 IS250 f sport model. Is the carbon build up issue resolved in the 3rd gen ?? I know it’s a carry over motor, so was wondering if the new IS250 still has the issue? Also are there any other issues to look out for with this car?

the one I’m looking at is a 2014 with 56k miles

1. Carbon issue resolved for 3IS
2. Navigation rebooting common issue (updates available that seem to cure some owners issues - TSB for it)
3. Navigation screen delamination (TSB for it)
4. Some have had door lock actuators go
5. Dead battery (Gateway ECU issue depending on the model you have - TSB for it)
6. Creases in the Nulux leather

Those are the ones that come to mind.

is there a source for the resolved carbon build up issue? I just want to make sure because it’s a pain!

The fix was proper sized pistons for the bores and a few other minor tweaks. The fix was implemented during production, so you're good to go for 3IS.
