Used Lexus IS250 common issues
Hi Guys, looking to buy a used 2008 used IS250 with 130,000 miles on it and I was wondering what I would be probably having to worry about in terms of part failure. I know it's been maintained well so I just want to get a sense of what system could fail next; a/c, transmission, engine etc.
TIA!
TIA!

You'll want to look up the carbon build up issues with the IS250. Here's a long thread about it:

Carbon build up
rear view mirror getting some strange black lines in it and can become useless (5 out of 6 cars we looked at had this)
wheels corroding (all cars we looked at had this to SOME extent)
My wife and I just bought a 08 IS250 with 101k on it. No carbon buildup issues I have noticed (no rough idle and no rotten egg smell after a WOT run), but I have a oil catch can on the way to help reduce any future issue with carbon buildup.

As far as mechanical issues, not much aside from the carbon build up mentioned by others (non issue on the 350). There's plenty of smaller issues I would look to avoid though. Melted dashboards and door panels, broken a/c recirculation doors, failed door lock actuators, airbag recalls, etc. All are relatively common and not very cheap/easy fixes.
