Does anyone find ultra white almost too white? It's so white and crisp that during the day the beautiful curves are almost camouflaged. I'm sometimes envious of silver coloured IS's because you can clearly see the body lines and curves. I think Ultra white tends to look best at sunset when there some shadows reflected on it. Probably the appeal is when its fully polished and clean, on bright sunny days the car is almost blinding to look at.

What do you guys think?

 

I like Ultra White, but for the same reasons you've listed, I prefer the metallic finishes on this car, such as Atomic Silver and Caviar. Ultra White + Rioja Red interior looks pretty nice, but you lost some of the body lines.

 

Did anyone say silver curves? =D

 

my moms RX is ultra white and the color honestly hurts my eyes when it’s super sunny approaching the car, but initially i wanted an ultra white IS before getting USB because there’s just something about the way it looks on 2014-2016 models that makes me really like it, not so much for 2017+

i agree. i usually only get white cars, but the ultra white is too white to the point that you can't see the lines

 

My IS350 was Starfire Pearl, which I quite liked, though I do like UW too.

 

Nice, i have Starfire white pearl also. UW is not bad, but it's very plain jane to me.

 

SLM was my first choice, the lines and curves are way more noticeable for you to appreciate the design.

Ended up getting UW.. cause of peer pressure, and my old car was silver.

UW still nice tho, when its cleaned.

FYI , lexus 083,,, come in two bottle ,one is 083 BC (this is the white base ) and the 083 ( this the metalic coat,) for some reason this is not clear, so when paint over the 083BC it turn a yellow white ,, not white anymore,, so this would never ever match the original paint color with the metalic , since it not clear with metalic

 

How did you black out the window moldings?

 

I still think Atomic Silver is the best color for this vehicle.
