Short of off topic, and sorry to hijack

My rear pads/rotors are basically brand new...

My fronts, however, needs changing. Is it recommend/OK to just change front pads/rotors? And whats the downside of resurfacing the rotors?

Thinking of going aftermarket setup,

Ceramic pads
And slot rotors... but that would look weird for just the front? lol

You definitely can do just fronts without rears.
U can put just pads on ur old rotors if they r good, resurface them if they need to and if they r still within specs (thickness).
Sloted/drilled (Max Brakes China in my case with Civic Si) will eat ur pads quickly and braking noise like humming i had experienced was not cool from high speed / hard braking. But looked nice tho. Would not go this route again. I had them only on fronts and it looked good if u worry about how it will look only @ front.

Thanks for the input. If sloted/drilled rotors would decrease the life of the pads, then its a route I wont take lol.

I'll rather have best performance over looks.
