Default Grimspeed License Relocation kit

I just got the grimmspeed license relocation kit installed on the 2018 IS350 and the parking sensors keep going crazy everytime I'm parking the car. I tried multiple different position still having the loud constant beep. Anyone have any pics how you guys install that wont somehow block the sensors?

Welcome to the forum...another Ontarian!

I've seen with other relocation kits that there is usually a disclaimer that states it will block the parking sensors if the vehicle is equipped with that feature.
I'm not sure if Grimspeed has that same disclaimer, but I don't really think there is a way around that.
Even if you adjust it, the sensor has a wide spectrum it looks at, it will likely still recognize the plate no matter how you adjust it.

I've read that some members bend it so it kind of follows the curvature of the bumper so it doesn't extrude so rigidly away from the bumper causing the false notifications

Ok. I didn’t expect that but I guess I’ll have to turn off the sensors for now. Thanks for the info guys.

I had the same problem as u when i first mounted mine.

You have to mount on the 2nd to the bottom mounting points on the frame and slide it as far as u can towards the drivers side door. This worked for me and i was able to turn on my parking sensors again. The only time the sensors would act up on me in this situation if it were raining heavily outside.

I don't have it mounted in the correct position in this picutre, but mount it in the holes that i highlighted in RED

I sill don’t have a front plate and I don’t have parking sensors, but I may get the relocation kit. I just wanted to say it’s great that you resolved this issue and shared it here. I am in SoCal too. Anyway, thanks for being helpful. It reminds me of when I first joined and I’m glad to see this.

correction, it has to mount to the very bottom slots. I just double checked my setup
