Default 2019 Lexus IS 300

Hello everyone,
I currently have a 2016 IS300 f sport and thinking about my next car does anyone know if the 2019 will be redesigned? I know it was just redone in 2014 but just wondering if there is any news about that year. Thanks

welcome to Lexus family Gusto, your answer is NO, not until 2020-2021 my guess but i am sure it will not be 2019 according to Washington Autoshow

Pretty sure that's a 2018 and they put the wrong model year in the YouTube video.

Given that the Minor Model Change (MMC) occurred in 2017, it will last until at least 2019.
So whether the video vehicle is an '18 or '19, it won't make much of a difference.
The MMC usually brings a facelift as well as some color/package option tweaks...but mechanically the vehicles are typically unchanged as we've seen between the 2016//2017.

2020 would be a good guestimate for a new model given the IS previous track record.

Thank you Everyone, I was thinking that I guess I just have a decision to make.. I'd hate to get a 2019 and then they change it in 2020..

It will probably change in 2020 but as a 2021 model year. So if you get a 2019, you at least have two model years before a new one.

i would just snag a 2018 now while you can, 2019 won’t make a difference

That's exactly what I'm doing. 3 year lease so it will be ready for the next model year change.

Hello Gusto, let me reconfirm what everyone else said here.

2019 Lexus IS will not be the redesign model (4th gen). The 2017 is the facelift and the 2018 is the design freeze (Design frozen because of name change to IS300 and IS350 getting the 2GR-FKS. Plus 10 year complimentary Lexus Enform Service to help the value). The current design will hold over till the redesign.
Based on prior generations, the Lexus IS runs on a 7-8 year cycle. At the earliest, the 4th generation Lexus IS will come out in 2020 as a MY2021. And at the latest, 2021 as a MY2022.
Further evidence that supports this is: the current Lexus IS generation (3rd) came out 2 years after the F30 3 Series. Its likely the the 4th generation Lexus IS will come out 2 years after the G20 3 Series as well. The G20 3 Series is coming out later this year as a MY2019. This will make the 4th generation Lexus IS to be a MY2021. Lexus is likely planning to use the G20 3 Series as a test mule in the development process of the 4th generation Lexus IS.

+1. This is good advice. Snag a 2018 right now and it'll give you at least 2-3 years of the model being new before the design change.
I bought a 2018 Lexus IS300 knowing it'll likely won't change till 2020 for MY2021. Depending on what they do to the 4th gen Lexus IS, I might or might not sell my Lexus IS to swap it for the 4th generation. <--- Remember, if you want to swap to the 4th generation, wait until its on the 2nd model year so they can work out the issues. Its better not to buy the first model year of any vehicle.

2019's added triple beam headlights as a stand alone option.

i saw that one of the changes for the 2019 models is the revised ecu programming. i had an g37 that was reprogrammed by the dealership because so many people were having a problem with the way that the transmission would hunt for the right gear while driving. does anyone think that lexus might reprogram the shifts for owners of 200t or 300 rear wheel drive IS models?
