I have a 2015 IS350 F-Sport (from August 2015) with brand new OEM tires. The front tires were due to change in August 2017 (camber wear - 24months later). The rear tires were still pretty good. I only had 21,500km on them (that's barely 13,500miles)! They weren't completely dead though, so I was able to sell them. But I could only imagine if I kept driving with them, they'll probably end up bursting like yours! Then, I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+... maybe I switched them out early, but at least, I was able to sell the old ones!

Which tires do you have on the vehicle?

A bit off topic but have you driven the AS3+ on the highway over 110km/hr yet? Mine were quiet around town but incredibly loud with a distinct resonance in the cabin at faster higheway speeds. Returning the AS3+.

Yeah, I usually cruise at 120km/hr on the highway. They're quiet enough... nothing that bugs me. But I think I know what sound you're talking about. Sometimes, I heard some kind of resonance but it doesn't last very long... didn't pay more attention to it.

29k miles.

that's an absolute record LOL.

MY F sport tires were SMOKED at 11k. just replaced them with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. SUPERB tire. and cheap too.

this is a relatively high performing high wearing car. tires are supposed to get smoked around 20k with reasonable driving.

29k is an absolute godsend.

Do the IS 200t models come with the same tires as the IS 300 (AWD)? I figure the OP has the AWD model since his is a '16.

Was thinking about going with Firestone Firehawk, how's the ride comfort and noise?

Look at the Extremecontact DWS 06, just got a set and they are pretty damn good. The highest tread ware rating in the class, good handling, excellent ride, low noise, and awesome in the elements. Plus, they offer a 3 year no-charge roadside assistance service and a 60 day no-hassle trial where they'll replace/return your tires if you aren't satisfied.

YOKOHAMA Tires Made in Japan stamped on tires, more than a year now 30k km , 18k miles and they still looks new ! Continental is good too, this is the brand i've seen on Most Luxury and Super car . i'm an aggressive driver not an old man with minimal speed.

I spent literally a week day and night researching tires when I was searching for my next set; I spent hours on Tirerack. My conclusion is that BF Goodrich, General, Yokohama, Kumho and Hankook tires are like the upper middle class of tires. They do all daily tasks very well but just lack that final touch that the top 1% aka Continental, Michelin and Pirellis have. The G-Forces will do you well unless you live in a place where it snows like I do. That's why I went with the Conti DWS06 simply the best all-season tire out there for the 3IS.

I've had the conti DWS06 on other cars and liked them a lot. Just put Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ on last fall, drove them through the winter (couple times in snow), and was very happy with them. Doesn't snow here like in NY however.

I have the BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S as my current set and surprisingly handled pretty well in the snow
