Has anyone installed "Front Strut Tower Bar" for 3rd Gen IS ?
Additionally, answering some other questions that came up, yes the RC F and the 3IS RWD have the same firewall.
I suspect the RC F brace would likely be very close to fitting on a 3IS. That said, the engine cover may need some modification on the V6 models.
53692-24020 - Bracket, Brace to Firewall
94151-80841 - Nut, Firewall Bracket (Qty: 2)
53681-24010 - Brace, RH
53682-24010 - Brace, LH
91631-60816 - Bolt, Brace (Qty: 4)
90179-08241 - Nut, Brace (Qty: 6)
53607-24010 - Bracket, Brace to Shock RH (without AVS)
53683-24020 - Bracket, Brace to Shock RH (with AVS)
53608-24010 - Bracket, Brace to Shock LH (without AVS)
53684-24020 - Bracket, Brace to Shock LH (with AVS)

I've said it in other threads, I'll say it in this one:
A strut bar isn't going to help unless it ties to the firewall.
LCA bushings are you first move, beyond that, the rest of the bushings, the dampers and springs in this car are where the compliance/body roll comes in - the chassis itself is very stiff.
The RC-F brace, although not as pretty, is going to be significantly more functional than the blingy Toms brace - and even that increase in rigidity is going to be minimal at best and likely unperceivable (eg. if you drove two of the exact same cars down to the tires, one with the brace and one without, you wouldn't notice the difference).
Again, this car has a stiff chassis, soft suspension & bushings.
Feel free to keep going down the strut bar path though, but you should consider it an appearance mod unless it's tied to the firewall, and even then it's a minimal improvement to chassis rigidity. If chassis rigidity and handling is your goal, there is lower hanging fruit to go after.

Hey Tim, I had a few quick questions about this strut tower brace. i was wondering where you ordered it from to ship it to the states and I was curious if you have the rear brace installed as well or just the front. How’s the handling feel after you installed?
A solid one piece front tower brace (not the three piece version with pivot bolts) will slightly improve chassis responsiveness from your steering inputs but it won't do much to improve handling.
A front or rear chassis under brace that ties the suspension to the subframe or chassis rails will do a better job at improving suspension geometry under cornering loads.

I've not installed it on my personal car, but I do have reason to believe it makes a difference. One being, a couple friends have installed them on their 2021 IS 350s and have claimed it is worth doing. The second is that I have driven a 2IS 350 with a strut bar, and, combined with coilovers, it really turned in nicely. I am sure the coils made a bigger difference but nonetheless, the steering response was really immediate.
