Default Back Up Light LED Swap

Im having trouble swapping the back up lights to LEDs in my 2018 IS350. I know for previous years this was done by removing the liner and accessing the bulb from inside the trunk. I removed the liner and removed the entire housing on the trunk but dont see anywhere to access the bulb. I dont want to start to take the housing apart to look inside without getting some feedback on here. Thanks in advance.

I saw this video before but they lights on the 2018 are different. THey are all contained within housing itself.

Sounds messy and a lot of work just to change the bulb....good luck man. It will be harder for others to help you since your model is so new lol.

On the 2018 models, the reverse lights are not user replaceable. They are LED.

Sort of glad that my 2016 can be self-serviced... there's literally a DIY section and step by step to change the bulbs.

Then I guess I won't need to change anything I had a nice set of 50W LEDs bulbs to put in too. Guess ill have to use them on another car. My LED swap is complete. All lights are now LED on the car.

Mind if I ask about the signal light? Are you running LEDs as well?

Do you mind sharing which signal LED lights are you running? I tried a pair but they were hyper flashing.

You will need to get a load balancer\equalizer or replace the stock flasher with a LED flasher relay.
