Those "accordion" style couplers are horrible for performance. I chose to go with one that had the smooth silicone connectors. Or you can always buy aftermarket couplers for the F-sport one.

I just cut out a rectangular hole on the part of the lower airbox that sits behind the passenger side headlights. Not sure of the exact size, but big enough to let in some extra air. I also now have the FSport airbox upper on my car.
