Default F Sport intake for IS350

i had F Sport intake and cat back on my gen2 IS350 and really loved them. i don't plan on doing exhaust this time since the 2017 has that cutout for the exhaust tips, but i do want to get a F Sport intake for my 2017 IS350 F Sport. have some questions:

1. without an aftermarket catback exhaust, do you really hear the F Sport intake? i know under heavy throttle you will hear it, but what about under normal driving?
2. i got all my F Sport stuff from Sewell way back when for the previous IS350, now they're gone, where can i purchase the intake at discounted price online?
3. on paper the F Sport intake gains about 2-5 hp on the gen2 IS350, is that still true for the gen3 IS350?

1. It's not bringing in much air under normal conditions so the heavy throttle increases the air flow which will feed the sound like the sound generator currently on it.

2. Sewell is still around but you'd have to phone order it. You can also try myLparts.com with the CL discount which I think is 5 or 10%.

3. Hmm, I would say it's closer to the lower side of the spectrum. With the 8 speed and slightly heavier weight, idk you'd feel the "power." Many members, including myself, have reported better throttle response though.

I just installed the F Sport intake on my 2017 IS300 AWD (base model) tonight.

1) No cat back exhaust, it sounds the same as stock intake. Maybe slightly louder at WOT.
2) I just bought mine from a local dealer ($341). Expensive but you pay to play...
3) It probably will give 2-5hp but not noticeable at all. I did notice slightly better throttle response but I'm not sure if that is due to the ECU reset.

eBay always has deals on the F-Sport intake. You will find a good price.
