Launch control destroys transmissions. Just because the computer is doing a neutral drop instead of you doesn’t change the Physics of what’s happening when you run your rpm’s up and slam the fly wheel and torque converter together.

Quick how it works if you are interested:

Something else I've always wondered... When they publish these crazy 0-60 times for cars, are they using some form of launch control, or just goosing it?
No standard for testing 0-60 times every manufacturer is going to do their own thing.

To the best of my knowledge (personal expérience) on my IS200t, to build up boost, so to speak, rev to 3.5k to 4k rpm and hold the brakes. Disable TC first before all these and then release the brakes when you are ready to go... that minimizes the turbo lag. Turn off AC, if you believe that will help... and lose the spare tire.

The IS350 is not too weak for a LSD option and can certainly benefit by having one. In fact, the 2018 IS350 F-Sport now includes a Torsen LSD.

Even the lower HP Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ come standard with a LSD.
