2018 IS back up camera full screen view disappeared after 2 weeks
Brand new and passed the pre-delivery test. The back up camera guideline view was in full screen mode until 2 weeks later which switched to only 2/3 of screen with either map or parking assistant in the side display. Full screen mode was the one sold to me but later changed without consumer consent!?
Called local dealers and rec'd no resolution and was told now should be what it intended to.
How come Lexus played tricks or sold a false feature like that? Wrote to Lexus and got response without solution but just saying my email was documented in the National HQ.
Anyone figured out or wrote to Lexus too?

I'm sorry, but Lexus didn't play any tricks or falsely advertised a feature, otherwise, more people would be complaining about the feature. Talk to an LTS at your dealership or do a hard reset (disconnect the battery for about 5 mins.)

Dealer can’t do anything
In this forum, there were older posts talking about the same issue so I am not the only one. Talked to dealer and was told full screen was a glitch actually. 2/3 screen is the intend. Sigh. Missed it and it feels so good to see the back up view in full screen.

Same with the 2016, the screen has bezels on the side... 2017 they made it a "bigger" screen. Could've done it on the 2016 as well if those bezels weren't there.....
Just a bunch of marketing BS to make the next models slightly more appealing.

It’s not centered but stretched to full screen. Much bigger and better view.
The “ caution” msg right after the startup page was also on full screen before but now clustered to the left half.
The dealer’s home page at start cup became smaller now and not full screen.
If knew what would happen, should’ve taken a picture.
All happened on the same day.

Nope. The image wasn’t distorted but covers the full screen only. Stretch may not be the right word but used to vs centered.
Side display always seems to be on even though browsing the menus.
i believe for some reasons side display becomes a permanent or default feature instead of optional.

Try setting the map mode to full screen by selecting the square with grid lines inside of it at the upper right corner of the map when it’s in 2/3 mode and then put the car into reverse and see if that works. Just a guess I haven’t actually tried it but I remember pressing that button and my map was the entire screen which looked awesome and I didn’t even know it could do that.
