Default Rear bumper gap?

Hey guys, recently when i open my trunk i notice there was a gap between the bumper and the trunk where the weather strip meets. The gap was wide enough to see the metal bracket which holds the bumper in place. Anyways i took the bumper off and try to fix gap. I try to bend the metal bracket a bit to see if it would work. Try a few times, no matter what i do there is still a bit of a gap in between. It is not noticeable now unless you look at it in closely or lift up the weather strip. Can someone check out their car or maybe even snap a picture for me to see if there is a gap or not. Also is it me or do our rear taillights have a slight gap between the bumper. Its on both sides, so i guess its normal since its constant on both side.

One last thing when i had the bumper off i notice there is this black plastic sensor piece in the middle between the bumper and body. There are 2 threaded post that bolt on the piece but one does not have a nut. Am i missing a nut ?? But no matter how i look at it a nut would not be able to thread on because of the shape it is.

I see, so i guess its not just me. Also what do you have a gap on your rear tailights? between the bumper and the lower part of the tailights?
