Thanks Rudiculous, i was after the GSE31r which si the 3rd gen even though its a 2013 model its the newer version. do let me know where i can find some info on that
After browsing through there, I found the part numbers for the mufflers are:
1743031C90 or 1743031D00 (Right Muffler)
1744031170 or 1744031180 (Left Muffler)
Not sure which part number is AWD and which is RWD, but the search parameters I used were for a 2014 IS350. Maybe you can check with a local Lexus or Toyota dealership.
1) Called the lexus dealer service and he said 250 will not fit a 350.
2) https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...=Base&Filter=()
on this website when i switch vehicles suggest the muffler is the same for both (350 and 250)
so does the 250 muffler fit a 350 ? are they the same ? Thanks
I can only assume that they would be the same. considering aftermarket axlebacks for the 350 and 250 are the same. They only differ from AWD and RWD. Maybe a different representative or dealership would give you a better answer, or perhaps a reputable mechanic? But if the IS350 and IS250 share the same part number, then it's only more reason to assume it's the same
The rear mufflers physically on the outside are the same for all models of 3IS (exception to hybrid), but the stock mufflers do have pressure controlled valves inside to regulate back pressure.. these valves could be spec-ed differently between 250 and 350(just my guess). Aftermarket mufflers do not have these valves so they could be used for both 250 and 350
I am confused, why do you want a stock muffler? This would be the same thing on your car when it was purchased brand new regardless if what country car originated from.
