Default reading a boost gauge

hello everyone, I've never owned a car with a turbo and curious how to read the gauge.

what does it mean with the needle reaches +1.5

It means you hit +15 PSI of boost pressure.

Thanks, but is that necessarily bad? The gauge will flash when that happens and Isnt always when Im at wide open throttle.

Should be fine, only time i would worry is if it never hit it (boost leak), or it went past it (over boost). The flash is just an indicator just like the redline glow.
